Hero MotoCorp debuts the Xoom 160, 125R bikes, and Vida electric prototypes at EICMA 2023. Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R scooters to go on sale in March 2024.

The Hero MotoCorp showcased a number of new models and concepts at EICMA 2023 recently.

The Xoom 160 and Xoom 125R scooters, which are expected to be on sale in March 2024, were among them. The event also included the debut of other ideas, including the Xtunt and electric Vida vehicles. The EICMA 2023 event is being held from November 7 to November 12 this year.

Hero Xoom 160 Maxi-Scooter: Details

Hero MotoCorp made its debut in the 160cc maxi-scooter segment at EICMA 2023 with the unveiling of the Xoom 160. The Xoom 160 has a 156cc liquid-cooled engine with a quiet starting and i3S Technology. It also has split LED tail lights, a dual chamber LED headlamp, and 14-inch wheels with MRF Zapper Kurve tyres with a block pattern. For added convenience, the scooter has remote seat opening, keyless starting, and a ‘Find My Scooter’ feature. The anticipated release date of this maxi scooter is March 2024. It will go up against the Aprilia SXR 160 and the Yamaha Aerox 155.

Hero Xoom 125R: Details

Hero MotoCorp’s effort to enter the sporty 125cc scooter market is the Xoom 125R. The scooter is equipped with a brand-new 125cc engine, 14-inch alloy wheels with MRF Zapper tyres, and a completely digital speedometer with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Additionally, it adds consecutive LED blinkers to the section. The Xoom 125R features aggressive bodywork that is reminiscent of the Xoom 110. The launch date is scheduled for March 2024.

At the renowned trade exhibition, Hero not only displayed its ICE products but also its Vida V1 Pro e-scooter. The Vida V1 Pro is still mechanically identical to the type that is already on sale, but it is now available with the rear seat removed in a “Coupe” configuration.

Furthermore, Hero is set to introduce the Vida brand in Europe and the United Kingdom, initially focusing on three nations, with more plans to follow. Reportedly, Hero has negotiated distribution deals in the UK, Spain, and France so far. In addition, Hero is scheduled to commence its commercial operations in mid-2024 and will thereafter introduce its high-end lineup of petrol motorcycles and scooters to these countries.

Hero also unveiled the Lynx e-dirtbike prototype under the Vida brand, which has a peak power output of 20.4 bhp and weighs just 82 kg. The bike can run on a 3 kWh battery pack for around an hour. Hero also displayed the Acro electric bicycle for kids in addition to the Lynx.
