The CBI has written a letter to the Govt saying that Kalmadi, Bhanot are obstructing the probe into the CWG games.
New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has told the government that the sacked CWG OC Suresh Kalmadi and his aide Lalit Bhanot are coming in the way of the CBI probe into the financial irregularities in the Commonwealth Games.
In a written letter, the CBI has told the government that the continuance of Kalmadi and Organising Committee Secretary General Lalit Bhanot was proving to be a hindrance in the agency's ongoing probe into the conduct of the Games.
Therefore, they should be moved out at the earliest.
Kalmadi has been under the scanner over allegations of corruption and irregularities related to New Delhi Commonwealth Games. The Games were held in New Delhi from October 3-14.
