HYDERABAD: We Indians love watching films, and Hyderabad being home to the Telugu film industry gives us all the more reason to stay connected with them. Amongst all the people who love watching movies, there are some who are as passionate about telling their story through the camera. So, though making a film is  as much about telling a tale, there are various technical aspects that are involved in the craft; something that perhaps can only be learnt by stepping into a film school. For this purpose and more, Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) is organising a filmmaking workshop to be headed by their CEO, Kurt Inderbitzin.Having been a producer and director himself, Kurt is all set to give his insight into the world of filmmaking through this workshop. “I can teach people how to be a good actor, or a good director. But I can’t teach people how to be a star because nobody knows why someone becomes a star,” says Kurt, adding,“This workshop will be a three-hour interactive session, which will encompass everything about filmmaking.” The first half of the session will cover the art of directing a film and Kurt promises that this session will make the students better directors. The next half of the session will throw light on how tough it is to survive in the film industry.“Filmmaking is a tough business, but people who dream to make a career in this industry, can do so with hard work and the right kind of mentoring,” signs off Kurt. The filmmaking workshop, which is free of cost, will be conducted twice – today and tomorrow at AISFM premises, Annapurna Studios, Banjara Hills, 6 to 9 pm.
