The much-anticipated third installment of the hit Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise is all set to go on floors in March 2024. The film’s lead actor Kartik Aaryan, along with filmmaker Anees Bazmee and producer Bhushan Kumar recently got together for a pivotal discussion regarding the horror-comedy.
Like the other two films which were massive hits at the box office, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 also promises to be an out and out entertainer, delving deeper into this mysterious world and weaving together laughter and suspense.
Expressing his excitement about the third installment, Bhushan Kumar said, “The ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise holds a special place in our hearts, and I’m very happy to be taking it forward with a creative mind like Anees and an incredible talent like Kartik.”
He added, “Together, we are set to deliver a cinematic experience that will both honour the legacy of the franchise and bring double the laughter and thrill for the audience.”
Director Anees Bazmee, too, shared his excitement for the project, saying, “I am thrilled to take forward the world of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa.’ In the previous installment, Rooh Baba became the most loved character, and it’s going to be a fun and exciting challenge to make it even better for the audiences to enjoy. This film is my next immediate directorial and the focus is on crafting a gripping narrative that will resonate with audiences while staying true to the essence of the series.”
Headlined by Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani with a spectacular performance by Tabu, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was the perfect Bollywood horror comedy. Fans are now eager to watch the third segment of the franchise on the silver screen.
However, the film’s leading lady for the third installment is yet to be confirmed. Rumours mills are abuzz that Sara Ali Khan is in talks for the same. A Bollywood Hungama report read, “Kartik and Sara are great friends and they are looking to extend the friendship forward into the professional front with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. The casting coup will be the talk of the town once the official announcement is made.”
If the rumours are true, Bhool Bhulaiyya 3 will mark Kartik and Sara’s second film after Love Aaj Kal 2.
